Sound insulation panels for acoustic optimization of lightweight construction

|
Objective
- Improvement of acoustic insulation of lightweight constructions by weighting without increasing the flexural rigidity
Problem Description
- Most components, particularly stiff panels of plastic, wooden materials and plaster have a distinguished acoustic insulating weak point in the range of their critical frequency.
- A simple increase in the mass by using a thicker panel frequently does not provide the desired improvement in the airborne sound insulation.
Solution
- Use of a flexible, self-adhesive sound insulation panel based on thermoplastics with high mineral fill.
Applications
Weighting of:
- Door leaves
- Dividing walls of wood, chipboard or plasterboard
- Open or closed wooden beam ceiling constructions
- Rolling shutter boxes
- Sheet metal constructions
Advantages of Sound Insulating Panels:
- Excellent acoustic insulating properties (e. g. 8kg/m²)
- Extremely low installation height of approx. 4mm at 8kg/m²
- Self-adhesive layer for easy application
- Can be cut to size simply with cutter
- Do not contain any PVC, bitumen or other risky substances
