Heavy Coverings

Heavy coverings consist of heavy-duty thermoplastic foils with high density and high internal insulating capability. Originally developed for the automotive industry to satisfy the high requirements present there (maximum effect with minimum construction space), PAP has now developed a new heavy covering based on the same principles, however optimized to satisfy the special requirements of construction physics.
This heavy covering is excellent for improving the acoustic properties of construction materials which must bear high loads. A high density and high internal insulation factor of these mats allow them to be used for insulating airborne sound as well as structure borne sound.
Production Process
The raw materials are compounded in-line using a double-shaft technology and then processed immediately to panels or rolled goods using a calendaring process.
